Finally, a place where YOUR CHILD CAN BE THEMSELVES! And Families Can Feel they Belong.
Because family fun shouldnt come with the pressure to fit in!
Help us create a space that truly meets your family's needs.

A different kind of place to play.
Traditional play environments aren't always designed with neurodivergent children in mind. Noise, crowds, sensory overload, transitions—and sometimes simply feeling misunderstood—can turn what should be a fun family outing into a stressful experience. We're creating something different. Children can move, explore, create, connect with others, or take a break when they need one. Parents and caregivers remain onsite while our autism-informed team provides an additional layer of support. *This is recreation—not ABA therapy, daycare, or a drop-off program.

Help Us Create Something Families Truly Need
We're not open yet, and we're still listening.
We'd love to understand your family's experiences with recreational outings—what has worked, what hasn't, and what you wish more places understood about your child. Your perspective can help us make better decisions about what matters most.
It only takes a few minutes. No purchase or commitment required.

What's inside
Fun on the Spectrum will be a thoughtfully designed sensory-friendly indoor recreation space for children ages 4-14 in the Charlotte area. We are exploring a place designed so children have different ways to play while parents and caregivers remain nearby, involved, and supported.
Thoughtfully Designed Play Environment for child-led play
A planned fully enclosed play area with gated entry and safety-conscious design, giving children room to explore while adding an extra layer of security and peace of mind for families.
Manageable Crowds & Sensory Spaces
90 minute play blocks to manage crowds and noise. Planned calming spaces will give children an option when they need less stimulation, a quiet break, or simply a different kind of environment before returning to play when they're ready.
Parent Lounge with open sightlines and opportunities for parents to connect
Now you have options! Join your child in play or spend time in a comfortable nearby space designed with visibility into the play environment. You remain on-site but also enjoy a meaningful experience connecting with other parents in a judgement free environment where you are not navigating alone.
Autism-Informed Support Team
We believe families deserve staff who understand the children they're supporting. Our goal is to build a consistent, autism-informed team trained in sensory needs, communication differences, safe transitions, emotional regulation, de-escalation, elopement prevention and response, and inclusive play. Our team will work alongside parents and caregivers to help create a safe, welcoming and positive recreation experience.
